My research examines how choice architecture shapes goal pursuit and self-control, drawing on theories of consumer behavior, psychology, behavioral economics, and judgment and decision-making. I study how the suggestions consumers receive, and the labels they attach to their mental accounts, influence whether they ultimately follow through on their goals.
I investigate these questions primarily through large-scale field studies, working with partners that include the U.S. Department of Education, a national U.S. pharmacy chain, and a large U.S. financial services and investment platform.
My research is currently invited for resubmission at the Journal of Consumer Research and Management Science, and has been published in journals including Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and Nature.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2011.
